Exclusive: Mireille Enos opens up about her career-changing role in the new Stan series Lucky Hank

Mireille Enos has spent a lot of her appearing profession within the high-stakes world of brokers and assassins.

She was a murder detective within the drama collection The Killing and battled zombies within the horror motion movie World War Z, however when the chance to play an unusual suburban spouse offered itself Mireille jumped on the probability.

“I’ve done a lot of series with real heaviness and played people with incredible skills – agents and detectives – and I just wanted to play a regular girl,” she defined.

“I wanted to tell a story that was more relatable to actual life and if I got to have a laugh in the process then that was OK.”

For Mireille, the Lucky Hank script could not have come at a greater time.

“This project was an incredible marriage of everything that I had been looking for – articulate writing and an incredible balance of gravitas and humour,” she mentioned.

While there was denying Mireille’s pleasure to sink her enamel into one thing new, the actress admitted that it took a short time to get used to the lighter position.

“Those first few days on set I was like, ‘Do I remember how to be fun?'” she laughed.

“It was just really unnatural to even get to smile. I felt really awkward the first few days, I had to remind myself ‘You’re OK to take a breath’. It had been a while.”

While Mireille admitted she was “shy about improv”, Bob’s expertise finally rubbed off on her with some issues simply occurring on set that finally made their means within the script.
