Outside of Billions, Maggie has embraced her theatre roots.
In July 2023, she took on the lead position of “Lady Torrance” within the Theater for a New Audience’s revival of Tennessee Williams’s Orpheus Descending.
It’s a task she defined she “had to do”.
The play is a couple of lady whose husband is dying of most cancers. In actual life, Maggie’s husband Paul Ratliff died of mind most cancers in 2021.
Speaking to The New York Times Maggie mentioned the position had “that quality of living at the edge of what’s real and realistic, and what’s mysterious and beyond our comprehension.”
She contemplated whether or not to decide to the position in 2019, however later reread the script and determined to take it on.
“A lot of life happened – my husband passed away, and I didn’t think I would be able to do this play,” she mentioned.
“But I picked it up again, and these are people who are living right on that line. It’s heaven and hell, living and dying. Being alive but dead inside, and then being alive, but coming into life.”
Maggie can be a mom to a daughter named Lucy. She was born seven years earlier than Maggie’s husband handed away.
