Fringe World favorite Lisa Woodbrook has cherished performing the music of Michael Buble, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen lately, however now issues are about to get extra intimate in her newest present Heartfelt, launching her new single I’m Done launched on June 30.
As the present’s title alludes, Heartfelt will function unique songs penned by Woodbrook about her personal triumphs, heartaches and experiences, together with high 40 hits she has had on repeat lately from artists together with Lizzo, Alicia Keys, Adele and Taylor Swift.
“I’m so excited to share a brand new show with Perth audiences, and to incorporate both my original music and favourite tracks,” Perth born and raised Woodbrook explains.
“I’ve loved performing Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Michael Buble’s music, but as an artist there’s always the constant need to evolve and keep creating, so it’s exciting to create a show celebrating songs that really resonate with me as an artist.”
The present, carried out at Mayland’s Lyrics Underground on July 13, would be the first time the singer — who has additionally been in musicals We Will Rock You and The Boy From Oz — will carry out her unique music reside.
She wrote energy ballad I’m Done, produced by Sydney duo Cressbrook, about shifting on with a way of confidence and readability from one thing that doesn’t serve you.
“There’s a real strength to this song, it’s so relatable, tugs at the heartstrings and it’s also very empowering,” Woodbrook says.
“I’m looking forward to sharing some of my favourite music and creating a really intimate experience, artist to audience, and for those that have gone through similar sentiments to feel heard, to feel seen and to let it all out and dance. As they say laughter is the best medicine, and for me it’s laughter, singing and getting your dance on.”
I’m Done is launched on all streaming platforms June 30.
