Homes are getting snapped up in lower than a fortnight throughout Perth, with properties in some pockets promoting in underneath per week.
The common time available on the market for all of Perth was simply 13 days in March 2023 — the second quickest on report, behind the peak of the property increase in March 2021 when the median gross sales time was 12 days.
Greenfields close to Mandurah was the star, with properties bought in a median of 5 days.
Cooloongup, Beechboro, Huntingdale, Leeming, Merriwa, Piara Waters, Port Kennedy and Waikiki adopted with houses taking a mean six days to promote.
Research by the Real Estate Institute of WA exhibits one other seven suburbs had a median seven days gross sales interval.
“March is usually a strong month for sales and despite 10 consecutive interest rate rises, 2023 was no exception with properties changing hands very quickly,” REIWA chief govt Cath Hart mentioned.
“Buyer interest remains high, with good attendance at home opens and many properties receiving multiple offers — some even before an inspection.
“And sales figures exceeded 1000 two different weeks in March. They have only done this three times so far this year.”
The common time for a home to be available on the market is anticipated to rise in April, with the Easter and Anzac public holidays, and faculty holidays delaying gross sales.
