A hardworking father has been left surprised after discovering a large lotto win.
The man from Doncaster in Melbourne’s northeast was the one division one winner in Tuesday’s $20million lotto draw.
He mentioned he had simply completed an early morning shift when he was informed of the life-changing win.
“I found out at 3am in the morning after my shift,” he mentioned.
“I discovered it when I went to purchase a ticket into Powerball’s $60 million draw for (Thursday) night. It was such a shock.
“I don’t really need to worry about tomorrow night’s draw anymore – I’ve got $20 million.”
The father mentioned that for greater than a decade he had purchased lotto tickets after his morning shifts, calling it a “treat to myself”.
“My wife is happy, my daughter is very happy,” he mentioned.
“It (the win) is something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
The man’s successful numbers have been 5, 35, 37, 14, 21, 12 and 22, whereas the supplementary numbers have been 46, 47 and 17.
He mentioned he would spend the cash serving to his household.
“Most importantly, I’ll help my family. I’ll share it around,” he mentioned.
“I’ve got some loans to pay off, starting with my house mortgage.”
The successful ticket was purchased at BP Prahran on 500 Malvern Rd, Prahran.
