SEE INSIDE: The home healing health coach’s chronic illness

Wellness takes centre stage within the Trigg house of well being coach Chloe Potter, who created a nurturing house for managing her power sickness and devotion to holistic dwelling.

“My illness sparked the desire to create a healing space that was safe and my own sanctuary. I took a long break from my business to deal with my health issues, so I spend lots of time at home,” says Potter.

Once a depressing ’70s bungalow-style house in want of a renovation, it’s now a white coastal haven.

“When I first moved in the home had salmon pink walls, navy carpet and the previous owners had installed bright yellow and blue pelted curtains,” she laughs. “Everything had to go.”

The renovation kicked off with the elimination of the carpet, adopted by the transformation of the kitchen and fundamental dwelling areas.

“The house is small and like a rabbit warren. I wanted to open the living areas and create space, so non-load-bearing walls were knocked out in the kitchen so the living areas could be extended,” she says.

French doorways have been put in to create a harmonious hyperlink between the inside and the beforehand barren out of doors sand pit, now remodeled right into a tropical-inspired out of doors space. Outside looks like a well being retreat with an infrared sauna, out of doors tub, lush tropical vegetation, and a soothing seated space.

“Having a sauna and outdoor spa creates a spa feel and I use them every day and love having a night bath. The front of the house now has a wooden deck and organic veggie patch, I love sitting out the front with a coffee watching the ocean,” she explains.

The kitchen was redesigned, ensuing within the addition of an intimate breakfast nook and the introduction of open shelving. The cosy breakfast nook encompasses a customized Onyx and Smoke lounger and a classic marble desk.

“I’m a massive foodie and I’m obsessed with herbology, so I love the kitchen shelving because I can see all my food, powders, and spices. Because of my condition I’m allergic to lots of foods, so I grow organic vegetables and herbs in my garden,” she says.

The kitchen countertop, eating desk, and toilet self-importance prime characteristic marble, whereas a putting stone basin is the centrepiece of the lavatory.

“I used to run health retreats in Bali and Thailand, and I love that indoor and outdoor living. I wanted the bathroom to have that feel with the half-rock sink,” she says.

The inside is styled with a fusion of the outdated and the brand new, with a deal with pure supplies and heat earthy tones. The front room, adorned with vegetation, encompasses a Blu Peter couch.

“Rather than artwork I have plants,” she says. “I wasn’t a green thumb before I became unwell and plants have now become my indoor and outdoor art that hangs on the walls.”
