Confronting CCTV footage has revealed the second a grocery store safety guard physique slams a buyer following an altercation within the retailer’s self-serve checkout.

At that time a retailer supervisor standing close by intervenes and tries to tug the 2 aside.

A Coles spokesman mentioned police have been notified of the incident, which was “reported immediately and reviewed accordingly with our security service provider”.

He mentioned Coles was “satisfied” with the end result of the evaluation.

“We regularly train and develop our team members to help them manage anti-social behaviour and provide them with tools to help them remain safe in high-risk situations,” the spokesman mentioned.

“Our security providers are required to work in line with Coles’ approved standard operating procedures and appropriately train their guards for our retail environment.

“We regularly review the performance of our contracted security service and address any issues with our service provider if they arise.”
