Residents erupt over ‘bin tax’

Throughout the assembly, people might be heard calling out and shouting whereas councillors spoke, with Mayor Claudia Nguyen pressured to repeatedly ask for “respect”.

“They’ve been really inappropriate and threatening and it’s really not okay. It’s totally fine for people to have differences of opinion, but some of the things we’ve received have been totally inappropriate,” he stated.
