Man crushed to death at shopping centre

A younger building employee has died after being crushed between a roof and a platform throughout a office incident at a procuring centre.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics responded to an incident at about 11am on Thursday, the place a 25-year-old was taken to hospital following an incident on the North Blackburn procuring centre building website.

Police stated the person, from South Morang, suffered life-threatening accidents earlier than he died in hospital.

An announcement from WorkSafe Victoria revealed the person was working a platform increase elevate at about 10.30am.

He was within the basket of the machine when it “lifted to roof level, crushing him.”

It is known the person was a plumber working on the North Blackburn Shopping Centre building website operated by Maben Group.

Police, alongside WorkSafe, are investigating the incident and a report shall be ready for the coroner.
