The National Broadband Network has introduced it’s going to slash its workforce by a whole lot because it brings in modifications to the “size and shape of the company”.
NBN Co confirmed to NCA NewsWire it expects round 500 folks will likely be made redundant, round 10 per cent of present roles.
The redundancies are anticipated to be introduced in by June 30 this 12 months and “will affect all business units and most levels of the organisation” a spokesperson stated.
“The majority of redundancies are expected to affect middle and senior management roles,” the spokesperson stated.
“The company is seeking to preserve and grow field-based roles associated with its national fibre upgrade program and the ongoing upgrades to its fixed wireless and satellite network.”
