Another Victorian house builder has slid into liquidation, leaving purchasers and collectors within the lurch.
Timothy Holden of insolvency agency Crouch Amirbeaggi was on Friday appointed because the liquidator for Melbourne-based Bentley Homes.
The firm, in an automated bounceback e mail to clients, cited financial pressures as the rationale for its demise.
“Unfortunately, this leaves us in a position where we are unable to carry out any further works,” Bentley Homes mentioned within the e mail.
“Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your new home journey.
“We wish to sincerely apologise for this unlucky scenario for everybody concerned, we will guarantee you all avenues had been explored to maintain the business which has been working since 2006.”
Mr Holden told AAP on Friday he was in the early stages of gathering information about the company, and would be in a position to report to creditors and homeowners early next week.
Bentley Homes marketed itself as the “new house builders of selection for individuals throughout Melbourne”.
Its vision was to be the most innovative building company in Australia, according to LinkedIn.
The home builder is among several to have slid into liquidation in recent times.
Builder Porter Davis fell over in late March with about $147 million debt, leaving 1700 homes in limbo in Victoria and Queensland.
About 20 people representing hundreds of Porter Davis creditors met at the Sofitel in Melbourne on Wednesday to discuss next steps.
It stays unclear when collectors owed million of {dollars} following Porter Davis’s collapse will get their cash or how a lot they are going to get.
