Four seriously injured in factory explosion

Four males have been rushed to hospital after they had been injured throughout a manufacturing facility explosion.

Emergency crews had been referred to as to the commercial explosion on Kay McDuff Drive at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks in Thabeban about 2pm on Monday.

Queensland Police and Queensland Fire Service assisted paramedics on the scene.

QAS Acting Officer in Charge Sean Quarmby mentioned on 4 males rescued from the explosion had been being handled for facial burns and “some burns to their extremities as well”.

“All four patients were seeing to be stable but with serious injuries and not presently life threatening but has the potential for deterioration,” he mentioned.

The males had been taken to Bundaberg Hospital however might be transferred to Brisbane if their accidents worsen.

It’s reported the lads had been putting in a boiler on the time of the incident.
