Ferry floods during scary trip home from Rottnest Island

It was a tough experience residence from Rottnest for passengers on Tuesday after a ferry began flooding.

Passengers advised 7News they weren’t too far out of Fremantle when the Sealink ferry pitched right into a wave and water got here speeding by an open door.

The water flooded the cabin space of the ferry and it despatched households scrambling for security. Children had been in tears and hyperventilating, in line with witnesses.

People had been speeding to place life jackets on as a panel was ripped from the wall of the boat.

Passengers say they may odor electrical burning.

No critical accidents had been reported.
