The editor-in-chief of the German tabloid journal that printed a pretend AI-generated “interview” with the previous Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher has been sacked.
Funke media group, which publishes the journal, additionally supplied an apology to the Schumacher household.
“This tasteless and misleading article should never have appeared,” Funke magazines managing director Bianca Pohlmann stated.

In a press release on Friday, Funke stated Die Aktuelle journal’s prime editor Anne Hoffmann had been “relieved of her duties as of today”.
