Police are trying to find the proprietor of an enormous silver bar (ingot) discovered on an remoted seashore in northern NSW.
A member of the general public discovered the ingot mendacity within the sand at Mylestom Beach in Mylestom, about 25km south of Coffs Harbour on July 21 2022.
They then handed the costly discovery into police at Coffs Harbour, who’ve since commenced an investigation to search out out who it belongs to.
“An extensive search has so far failed to locate the owner,” a NSW Police spokesman stated in a press release.
A silver ingot weighing a kilogram will be offered for round $1000 relying on the retailer.
Found at what locals name North Beach, the invention was made at what’s been described as a “holiday haven” at Mylestom.
Police say that the ingot is stamped with a serial quantity and has different identifiable markings.
“If you believe you are the owner of the silver bar, very specific evidence or a certificate of authenticity should be provided,” the spokesman stated.
