Construction of a $150 million clear power battery in Queensland’s Western Downs area is nearing completion.

The venture at Chinchilla is being overseen by the state’s publicly-owned CS Energy and includes 80 Tesla megapack models, which have now been put in.

Testing and commissioning of the battery shall be carried out and it is anticipated to be up and operating in late 2023.
