Anthony Albanese has clashed with hecklers halfway via a press convention about his plan to funnel tens of millions into a brand new stadium in Hobart.
Mr Albanese was at Macquarie Point to announce the $240m funding within the “one-in-a-generation” city renewal mission, which is able to pave the best way for Tasmania to enter the AFL.
“We want affordable housing, not a stadium, affordable housing,” a person shouted from the group.

While Tasmanians have been broadly supportive of the state becoming a member of the AFL, the situation of requiring a brand new stadium be constructed has proved to be controversial.
