KUALA LUMPUR – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday hailed the Philippine ladies’s soccer workforce over their first victory on the 2023 FIFA World Cup.

“Congratulations to our Philippine Women’s National Football Team on their historic triumph against New Zealand at the FIFA Women’s World Cup! A momentous first-ever world cup win for the Philippines!” Marcos mentioned in a tweet.

The Filipinas made a historic win after defeating New Zealand, 1-0, within the sport held in Wellington, New Zealand. 

New Zealand was not capable of rating a single purpose with Philippine goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel displaying relentless protection on the course of the sport.

Further, striker Sarina Bolden transformed a header off a cross from Sarah Eggesvik within the free kick play on the twenty fourth minute to place Manila up, 1-0.
