Woman mauled by grizzly bear in US was an ‘avid hiker’

Amie Adamson, from Derby, Kansas was operating when she was killed by the bear on a path west of Yellowstone National Park on Saturday.

Gallatin County Coroner’s Office stated the 48-year-old died from exsanguination as a result of a bear mauling.

“At the time of her death, [Adamson] was hiking or running on the trail and would often do so in the early morning. After investigation, the bear attack did not appear to be predatory,” they stated on Facebook.

Rangers issued an emergency closure of the world, which is in style with hikers.

The assault comes amid an increase in Montana’s grizzly bear inhabitants and a rise in sightings.
