Ford Australia issued the recall for Mustangs made between 2014 and 2017 after a producing fault was found within the wiring harness put in within the boot lids.
The defect may trigger the automobiles’ rear-view digicam to intermittently work, in addition to lack of satellite tv for pc reception, and the bags compartment lamp and baggage compartment launch to not work.
“If the rear-view camera display does not continually display the rear-view image whilst reversing the vehicle, it could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle,” the Department of Transport has warned.
Ford will contact the affected house owners in writing to request they make an appointment at a Ford Authorised Dealership for inspection and restore of the bags compartment lid wiring harness, freed from cost.
For additional data, prospects can contact any Authorised Ford Dealer or Ford’s Customer Relationship Centre on 13FORD (133 673).
