DOH logs 283 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health recorded 283 new COVID-19 instances on Saturday, bringing the nationwide caseload to 4,169,644.

The variety of lively instances went down to five,879 from 6,029 on Friday.

There have been 4,097,255 recoveries to this point and two new fatalities, elevating the dying toll to 66,510.

The National Capital Region nonetheless takes the lead when it comes to new COVID-19 instances for the previous two weeks with 872, adopted by Central Luzon with 699, Calabarzon with 532, Western Visayas with 401, and the Ilocos Region with 331.

Among cities and provinces, Quezon City topped the record with 220 instances prior to now two weeks. It was adopted by Iloilo (178 instances), Cavite (163), Bulacan (152), and Nueva Ecija (150).

A complete of 5,007 people have been examined for COVID-19 on Friday based mostly on information submitted by 307 testing laboratories.
