A Qantas flight heading from Singapore to London has made an emergency touchdown in Azerbaijan after the pilots obtained an intermittent fault indicator within the cockpit.
Flight monitoring providers on social media reported the A-380 plane making a 180 diploma flip close to Tbilisi in Georgia squawking 7700 (that means an emergency scenario) and touchdown in Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku on Friday.
A Qantas spokeswoman confirmed to AAP on Friday afternoon that the airplane had touched down in Baku with out incident however didn’t specify the fault.
“Our flight from Singapore to London has made an unscheduled landing at Baku Airport in Azerbaijan after pilots received an intermittent fault indicator in the cockpit,” she stated.
