Two males have been charged with torture and deprivation of liberty after they allegedly kidnapped two individuals however fell asleep and allowed them to flee.

Queensland Police allege a 33-year-old man and a 42-year-old lady have been at a park in Everton Park in Brisbane after they have been threatened and kidnapped by two males and brought into an SUV about 2am yesterday.

The alleged victims escaped whereas the 2 males have been asleep.

They ran to a home for assist and known as police, who awakened their alleged captors and arrested them.

A 35-year-old Jamisontown man and a 36-year-old Thornton man have every been charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of deprivation of liberty and two counts of torture in addition to one depend every of assault occasioning bodily hurt and theft.

“Police attended and located two men asleep in the vehicle,” Queensland Police mentioned in a press release.

“It will be further alleged that police located zip ties, bleach, rubber gloves, hacksaw blades, plastic sheeting, aluminium foil, wire snips and a blowtorch in the vehicle along with a quantity of cash and drugs.”

The males appeared in Southport Magistrates Court immediately the place a prosecutor mentioned the boys instructed the victims they have been “going to torture them and ultimately kill one of them”.

The courtroom was instructed the victims and kidnappers didn’t know one another.
