Brisbane Lions ahead Lincoln McCarthy has been provided a one-match ban for placing Kamdyn McIntosh in Thursday’s 81-point AFL win over Richmond.
McCarthy struck McIntosh on the chin with a jumper punch, with many pundits calling for him to be suspended.
The incident was graded as intentional conduct, low influence and excessive contact, drawing a one-game ban.
Unless he unsuccessfully challenges the suspension, McCarthy will miss subsequent week’s house conflict with West Coast.
