The multi-millionaire founding father of an Australian clothes model has bought a brand new property within the Adelaide Hills.
Davie Fogarty, 28, has an estimated internet value of $250m after creating the Oodie, the outsized wearable blanket.
The younger entrepreneur revealed his $4.35m buy in a home tour video posted to his YouTube channel earlier this month.
“I was actually looking for a house in Noosa,” he instructed his 307,000 subscribers.
“I wasn’t actually going to buy another house in Adelaide but then I saw this and just instantly knew that I needed to go see it.”
He stated he booked a number of inspections throughout the town however cancelled all of them after seeing the four-hectare Mylor farm.
“I didn’t even sell my own house, I just needed to move in to this one,” he instructed viewers.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling was bought full -furnished (for an extra $150,000) by way of actual property agent Dee-Anne Hunt Williams Real Estate.
The property final bought in 2018 for $1.41m.
Complete with paddocks, a ceramic workshop, outside tub and room for 2 miniature goats, the property is an idyllic escape from the town.
“I grew up in the Hills so I would always just walk around in nature and think about ideas,” he stated.
“Some people connect with nature and need it a lot more than others.
“As entrepreneurs we kind of become conditioned to the amount of cortisol and stress that we are actually experiencing and if you’re like me, you just want to work.
Mr Fogarty said he had plans to join two of the bedrooms to make a master suite with walk-in robe, but his primary development plan is a chapel-like building he plans to use as a gym.
“Although I’m saying I just want to get off the hedonic treadmill and stop chasing everything, and this is a luxurious property, I do feel like this is a thing that I really wanted and needed in my life,” he stated.
“I’m just going to enjoy it and find a bit of peace as well.”
The 28-year-old multi-millionaire will probably be becoming a member of the forged of Shark Tank Australia in its return to the silver display screen after a 5 yr hiatus.
