Fuming owners declare a Western Australian builder has left them with unfinished properties.
Customers of Flexible Homes say they’re struggling to contact the corporate, which not too long ago got here beneath new possession.
New proprietor Christopher Platt instructed 9News he deliberate to take the corporate into administration.
“This all is getting too stressful,” he mentioned.
“This was never meant to be this way, but now with all the media and negativity, it would be impossible for me to run the company.
“Furthermore, there was by no means any deceptive to any of the shoppers, who signed with one other builder as Flexible Homes was subcontractor to them.”
Single mother Brooke Fitzsimmons signed with Flexible Homes in 2021.
She said she should be choosing furniture but was instead counting the cost of long delays.
“When we signed the contract, we had been excited to have a house to lift my son in and two years later now we have no finish in sight,” she said.
Her situation was made worse by news the company had changed hands, leaving her in limbo.
“It’s simply an electronic mail, they will not give us an handle, they will not give us a cellphone quantity, they will not give us something,” she said.
Monika Goyal and her family forked out thousands for work they said hadn’t been done.
The couple further claimed they were misled, signing a contract with Flexible Homes only to discover they were actually contracted to another builder, who’s since cut ties.
“Who’s going to inform us it is a totally different firm we signed our contract with and who’s going to inform us they’ve terminated the contract between them, so we did not know something about this,” Goyal said.
“I do not know what is going on to occur, once we will get our home, if we get our home or not.”
Flexible Homes former co-director Pavreet Singh said clients were “absolutely conscious” upon signing contracts who they were building with.
Increasing costs and labour shortages were to blame for long delays and his decision to step down, he said.
Regulator Building and Energy said it was “conscious of considerations”.
“This is a excessive precedence investigation and asking affected prospects to lodge a grievance in the event that they have not already,” a spokesperson said.
