PARIS — A gasoline explosion began a blaze in buildings within the Latin Quarter of central Paris, officers and witnesses mentioned.

BFM TV confirmed fireplace providers sealing off the rent and attempting to dampen a constructing, and Parisians posted photographs on Twitter of an enormous plume of smoke that was seen throughout a lot of the town.
