The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League slapped sanctions on Sarangani Marlins participant Ammar Cosari for his conduct of their sport final Friday in opposition to the Pampanga Giant Lanterns on the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in Pampanga.

Cosari was handed a one-game suspension and fined P20,000 for his actions throughout their sport, which went in Pampanga’s favor, 99-92.

“For instigating the water bottle-throwing incident during the Pampanga Giant Lanterns v. Sarangani Marlins game last Friday, June 9, the Office of the Commissioner hereby imposes a one-game suspension and a fine of twenty-thousand pesos (P20,000) on Sarangani Marlins player Ammar Cosari,” the MPBL mentioned in an announcement.

During the third quarter of the Marlins’ match in opposition to the Giant Lanterns, Cosari was seen in a heated second with Pampanga’s Justine Baltazar. After Cosari was delivered to the bench, he was seen flashing two center fingers. The crowd threw water bottles on the court docket after the incident.

After settling the incident, fouls had been known as on each Baltazar and Cosari.

“This is to remind everyone that the Office of the Commissioner is empowered to decide on matters and circumstances deemed inimical to the interest of the league,” the league added.
