VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis can have surgical procedure on his stomach on Wednesday afternoon at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, the Vatican mentioned in an announcement.
It added that his medical group had determined in latest days that surgical procedure was required and that he was anticipated to remain in hospital for a couple of days to recuperate.
On Tuesday, the 86-year-old pope visited the Gemelli Hospital’s geriatric unit for exams, in accordance with ANSA and AGI news companies. — Reuters
