Questioning whether or not or not a job is the appropriate one for you is a scenario that each particular person has to undergo sooner or later.
But how do we all know if it’s time to tackle a job or stroll away from it? More importantly, how do we all know if the trail we’re treading on is the one meant for us?
According to award-winning journalist Jessica Soh, who’s behind the present “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” understanding and understanding what you need to obtain in your profession and the place you need to go in life is significant in unlocking the appropriate profession path for you.
“Kailangan talagang alam mo kung anong gusto mo, saan mo gustong mapunta, ano ang gusto mong marating,” Jessica stated in an interview.
“Kailangang isipin mo ‘yun sa mahabang panahon, kailangan ng deep internalization at introspection,” she added.
Some of the questions you have to ask yourself, as per the journalist, include “Saan ka ba magaling?” and “Ano ‘yung pinakagusto mong gawin sa buhay?”
“Then, everything follows from there,” she added.
For Jessica, she knew early on that her calling was journalism.
“Journalism is a far bigger cause than anyone of us, so you have to show up for work, because there’s a public to be served,” she stated.
“Malinaw sa akin kung ano ang role ko tuwing may assignment ako o tuwing may coverage ako,” she added. “Kailangan ma-deliver ko nang maayos ‘yung hinihingi sa akin.”
Jessica renewed her contract with GMA Network on Wednesday after 38 yeas of being a Kapuso broadcast journalist. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
