An investigation is underway after a wongari (dingo) attacked a younger boy in Queensland yesterday.

The five-year-old was bitten on the arm, buttocks and head close to the Ocean Lake tenting space on K’Gari (Fraser Island).

The boy’s father was in a position to rapidly intervene and he was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a steady situation.

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service mentioned rangers have been serving to the household and dealing to determine which wongari was concerned.
