An Ed Sheeran double was banned from TikTok for trying an excessive amount of just like the singer.
Ty Jones – or “Ned Sneeran” – stated he all the time tells his 110,000 followers he isn’t the true Ed, and he can’t sing.
But the 28-year-old’s account was pulled on the weekend as a result of TikTok believed he was pretending to be the flame-haired star, The Sun stories.
“It’s quite obvious I’m a lookalike. I actually can’t sing,” Jones instructed to the outlet. “People always comment on my videos, saying, ‘Oh my God, it’s Ed Sheeran.’ I’m always repeating myself saying, ‘I’m not Ed.’”
“Sometimes I have it in bold writing. I feel like it’s discrimination because I can’t change the way I look.
“Just because I look like Ed Sheeran, does that mean I can’t make TikToks?”
The social media large upheld the ban after an attraction from Jones, who lives in Manchester.
“I make videos of me living my life as an Ed lookalike,” the dad-of-one stated. “It’s my full-time job. I was keen to promote what I do and market my business.”
“Maybe TikTok should ban Ed for impersonating me as well given that we look the same.”
After reviewing his attraction, TikTok instructed Jones: “It was determined that your account has violated our Community Guidelines and cannot be restored.”
However, it reinstated it after The Sun bought in contact final night time.
