The Senate committee on public order and harmful medication is eyeing the advice of expenses towards suspended Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. over the killings in Negros Oriental, panel chairman, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa mentioned Thursday.

Dela Rosa made the comment a day after the NBI filed homicide and tried homicide complaints towards Teves in relation to the killing of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo. 

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla beforehand mentioned that Teves seems to be the important mastermind behind the assassination of Degamo.

“The same naman ang direction ng ating investigation na ginagawa sa Senado at findings ng DOJ. Parallel,” Dela Rosa mentioned in an interview on SuperRadyo dzBB.

The Senate panel had investigated at the very least 23 instances of killings and assaults in Negros Oriental together with that of Governor Degamo.
