Boomers star Matthew Dellavedova is getting back from the NBA to reunite with Melbourne United within the NBL.

The 32-year-old guard has agreed a two-year cope with United.

A 2016 NBA championship winner with Cleveland, Dellavedova helped United to a top-of-the-table common season end in 2021-22 – his solely earlier season within the NBL.

He then headed again to the NBA and took a task as veteran chief with the Sacramento Kings, who ended a 16-year playoffs drought earlier than being eradicated by the Golden State Warriors.

“I’m really excited to be coming back to Melbourne United,” Dellvedova stated in a membership assertion.

“There are so many things that Delly brings to the table,” he stated.

“It starts with his competitiveness and his grit to just want to win. You never feel like you’re out of a game when you’ve got him on the floor.

“He’s a leader by actions, diving on the floor, winning loose-ball possessions, taking charges, and by his play, we saw he can really get hot with his three-ball and ability to score.”

Dellavedova will reunite with previous teammates in Chris Goulding, Shea Ili, Jo Lual-Acuil, Ariel Hukporti and Brad Newley and joins Luke Travers, Tanner Krebs, Flynn Cameron, Kyle Bowen as totally rostered gamers .
