Yasmien Kurdi reveals she suffered from postpartum depression after giving birth to Ayesha

Yasmien Kurdi has opened up about her previous expertise with postpartum melancholy.

The “Start-Up PH” actress has a 10-year-old daughter named Ayesha with husband Rey Soldevilla.

“I think ‘yung postpartum depression nagkaroon ako nun. Totoo siya. Akala ko dati na hindi ko mararanasan ‘yung ganu’n. Pero nu’ng nandoon na ako naranasan ko siya,” she mentioned in an interview on ‘Updated With Nelson Canlas.’

Yasmien mentioned she used to stare at herself within the mirror, feeling unusual in her personal pores and skin.

“I felt na parang sobrang parang feeling ko ‘yung skin ko bakit ganito. Bakit parang hindi bumalik ang lahat sa dati,” she mentioned.

“After giving birth parang hindi lahat, hindi ako naging ako na. Naging iba na ako,” she added.

Having overcome postpartum melancholy, Yasmien mentioned that an important factor is household help.

“Kasi number one ‘yan family support and ‘yung prayers. Kasi kailangan mo ‘yun e,  ‘yung love nila. ‘Yung push nila sayo na kaya mo ‘yan, ganu’n,” she mentioned.
