The aircraft crashed within the Caiguna space, about 350 kilometres west of the Western Australia-South Australia border, about 9.30am on Friday.
Initial reviews steered the plane was a Cessna, nevertheless the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATBU) says the aircraft concerned was an “amateur built” Jabiru leisure plane.
