AFL legend Brendan Fevola has opened up concerning the excessive weight reduction lengths he went to as an envoy for Jenny Craig.
Following the news that the load loss business went into administration, the 42-year-old revealed he needed to lose 12 kilos in 9 days to maintain his contract.
“It got a bit scary because it was coming up to the big weigh-in where I would be paid the big cash so I had to hit it,” he stated on Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.
“My goal was 108kg and I was nine days out and I was 119.8 – I didn’t eat for virtually seven days.
“I went to a sauna and I walked out at the Brighton baths to go for a little walk but I had no energy. It was so bad, it was the only time I thought I’d die. My nose started bleeding for no reason and I had some soup which filled me back up.”
He stated he weighed in at 107 kilos.
“Next to the Jenny Craig, no word of a lie, there is a McDonald’s, and after every weigh-in I’d go and treat myself. I went in and bought two McChickens, a Big Mac, large chips,” he stated.
“I smashed the first McChicken and almost spewed but I got my weight and I got my cash.”
Jenny Craig’s Australian and New Zealand operations went into voluntary administration on Tuesday.
The directors intend to proceed to commerce the businesses whereas they discover choices to restructure.
