Tony Staley was a “lion of the Liberal Party” who might be sorely missed after he dies aged 83, says Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume.
Mr Staley was a Liberal Party federal president and served as a minister within the Fraser authorities.
“He left politics at the tender age of around 41 and yet continued to dedicate his life to the Liberal Party,” Ms Hume advised Sky News Australia.
“He will be sorely missed by so many of us.”
