Two-month scripts will ‘free up’ more GP appointments for Australians

The authorities’s transfer to permit two-month prescriptions will “free up” extra GP appointments for Australians, says Australian Medical Association Vice-President Dr Danielle McMullen.

“We are keen to find ways to work with pharmacies to use their extra time to look at medicine usage – making sure patients have the best advice on how to take their medicines,” Dr McMullen informed Sky News Australia.

She stated docs have been additionally eager to work with pharmacists on “medication reviews” for aged-care sufferers.

“So that doctors and pharmacists can work together to ensure that patients are receiving the best possible medical care in the community,” Dr McMullen stated.
