CMAX Advisory CEO and defence trade analyst Tyson Sara says ANZAC Day is a time to mirror on “where we are” and the freedoms we take pleasure in due to the sacrifices which were made.
“For me it’s a time to remember friends and people that you worked with and the things that you did,” he informed Sky News Australia.
Mr Tyson mentioned he isn’t offended by the choice to launch the Defence Strategic Review the day earlier than ANZAC Day following criticism over the timing.
“I think it’s good for us to be considering how we need to spend our nation’s resources on national defence at a time when we’re also considering the sacrifice that people have made form a human perspective.”
