‘Who does that serve?’: Rita Panahi on Acknowledgement of Country

Sky News host Rita Panahi says she doesn’t suppose the acknowledgement of nation will “serve” Indigenous folks any reconciliation regardless of it getting used very incessantly.

“When you land on a Qantas plane you hear a acknowledgement of country,” Ms Panahi stated.

“Who does that serve? Does that make one Indigenous life better or is it really about the people … getting this warm sense of virtue signalling.”
