The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has issued a stern warning to Brent Paraiso after the Colegio de San Juan de Letran guard ‘disrespected’ recreation officers throughout Game 2 of the Season 98 Finals in opposition to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde final Sunday.

Paraiso was caught on digicam collaborating in a chant, which included swear phrases directed on the referees, in unison with the gang. This occurred on the 5:29 mark of the second interval after his teammate Fran Yu was slapped with a disqualifying foul.

This, in keeping with league commissioner Tonichi Pujante, was deemed disrespectful.

“Upon post game review, you were seen on the official game mouthing what the crowd was chanting against the referee at the 5:29 mark of the second quarter in your game yesterday, 11 December 2022, against CSB,” mentioned the letter.

Paraiso, although, will escape additional sanction because it was solely his first offense.

Pujante’s choice to reprimand Paraiso was primarily based on league rule that claims any participant who utters foul language or makes foul gestures at any recreation official is topic to admonition (first offense) and ejection or suspension (second offense).
