Former ONE bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon has been promoted to Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt.
Belingon, 20-10 as knowledgeable combined martial arts fighter, was given a promotion by Baguio City’s lone black belt Gibran Langbayan.
“I was surprised. I went there to train as usual and then was called to the center after training,” Belingon stated.
“I am happy because I worked hard for this and I will continue training to get better in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.”
Belingon, 35, made headlines final month when he departed his longtime secure Team Lakay together with the likes of former world champions Eduard Folayang, Joshua Pacio, and Honorio Banario.
