Top-seed Frances Tiafoe has ended Australian Jason Kubler’s run on the rain-interrupted Houston Open within the quarter-finals as each males performed two matches in a day.
Two-and-a-half hours after a second-round 6-2 6-4 victory towards fellow American Steve Johnson, Tiafoe returned to courtroom and ousted Kubler 6-4 6-4 to achieve the semi-finals of the claycourt occasion in Texas on Saturday.
