Man arrested after two young boys allegedly abducted from WA home

Two brothers, aged eight and 12, are again house tonight after being snatched from their beds whereas asleep within the early hours of this morning.

A 34-year-old man, believed to be unknown to the youngsters, has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping them from a house in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt area.

Police allege the person first entered the Moora house, 177km north of Perth, round 4am and kidnapped eight-year-old James.

The alleged offender then is claimed to have openly returned to the property and tried to take the boy’s brother, Fabiano.

However the 12-year-old managed to interrupt free and ran again into the house to alert an grownup, police mentioned.

“The 12-year-old boy’s courage and bravery to get himself out of that situation was tremendous,” Inspector Kareene Santoro mentioned.

Police mentioned CCTV indicated the person walked proper into the entrance of the home earlier than strolling out with the primary younger little one.

Officers searched the world and located James three hours later at a close-by house, in what police described as a “distressed” state.

Both youngsters have been taken to hospital for a medical checks however rapidly launched. 

Forensic police have been introduced in from Perth to look at the scene across the Moora house, whereas specialist police interview the younger brothers.

The man has been arrested and helps detectives with inquiries.
