Days after Christmas, a uncommon circumhorizontal arc shaped over Wellington, on New Zealand’s North Island.
The uncommon sight happens when ice crystals develop excessive within the sky.
A halo types when daylight enters the horizontally-oriented crystals.
They can solely be seen when the sunshine supply, both the solar or moon, sits at greater than 58 levels.
Luckily this circumhorizontal arc was immortalised by some eagle-eyed residents.
