Three males accused of stealing $2 million price of Holdens throughout Victoria have been charged by police.
Police allege 30 late mannequin Holden Commodores have been stolen from dealership automotive parks and houses since October.
Police stated the automobiles focused have been late mannequin Holden Special Vehicles (HSVs) ranging in worth from $50,000 to $120,000 per automobile.
Detectives from the automobile crime squad spent the final two weeks raiding three properties and have now charged a trio.
A 32-year-old Clayton man, 28-year-old Newborough man and 32-year-old Kangaroo Flat man have been charged, dealing with a a mixed 53 fees.
“Victoria Police are focused on identifying those involved in organised vehicle theft and targetting those people,” Detective Acting Inspector Chris Ellway stated.
“They will be taken to justice.”
The variety of automotive thefts throughout Victoria has jumped by greater than six per cent since 2021, a lot of them stolen throughout aggravated burglaries.
