A Melbourne man accused of killing his brother and stabbing his mom has been charged with homicide and tried homicide.

The 32-year-old was arrested at a busy intersection in Preston yesterday after his 29-year-old brother was discovered useless and 62-year-old mom was allegedly stabbed within the neck at a house in Reservoir.

9News understands the person’s brother had tried to run to a personal hospital to get assist after the alleged knife assault earlier than collapsing and succumbing to his accidents.

The incident sparked closely armed police to reach and encompass a Reservoir house.

Officers initially believed the person was nonetheless inside the house and tried to barter his give up.

Two hours later, they stormed the home and located he had already fled. 

He had a gash on his cheek when the manhunt ended hours later. 

Police are believed to have seized wads of money from him. 

The 65-year-old lady is in a steady situation in hospital.

The man was charged early this morning with homicide and tried homicide.

He has been remanded in custody to face courtroom in the present day.

Neighbour 82-year-old Pam Egan described the household who lived in the home as “always friendly”.

“They’re lovely beautiful family hard workers,” Egan mentioned.
