QUETTA, Pakistan – Islamic State claimed accountability for a suicide bombing assault in southwestern Pakistan that killed 9 policemen on Monday, based on the SITE Intelligence Group.

A suicide bomber rammed a motorbike right into a police truck in in Sibbi, a metropolis some 160 km (100 miles) east of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

“ISIS claims suicide attack in Sibi, Balochistan,” tweeted Rita Katz, director of the SITE Intel Group that tracks Islamist extremists.

Hospital officers stated no less than 7 policemen have been wounded within the assault, the newest in a collection concentrating on police personnel in Pakistan.

The latest assault comes as ethnic Baloch guerrillas have been preventing the federal government for many years, accusing it of exploiting Balochistan’s wealthy gasoline and mineral sources. — Reuters
