Another suspect in Adamson student hazing surrenders

One of 9 suspects behind the hazing of slain Adamson University chemical engineering pupil John Matthew Salilig surrendered to authorities.

According to Jamie Santos’ report on “Saksi”, suspect John Lester Sus went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Friday night together with his mom and lawyer.

Sus denied he was in hiding and stated he was unaware his title was included within the listing of suspects being searched by the police. He instantly sought assist from a lawyer after studying about it.

“Nagulat na lang po ako nasa school po kasi ako nung nabasa ko po kaya po nag chat agad po ako,” he stated.

(I used to be shocked as a result of I used to be in school after I discovered about it.)

The suspect stated he has no participation within the lethal welcoming rites in Biñan, Laguna as he left the occasion early for an appointment.

“All I can say is he’s innocent. He didn’t see anything about what happened. Ni hindi nga niya alam na may nangyari eh. (He doesn’t even know something happened),”Fernando Perido, the suspect’s authorized counsel, stated.

“In fact, he left early. Earlier. Whatever happened after that when he left around 7 o’clock, right? He just learned the news that he’s already in the house,” he stated.

“What he saw there was questioning lang. Mga tanong-tanong. The usual initiation. But more than that there was nothing,” Perido added.

Sus will stay within the NBI as no warrant of arrest was issued towards him. He is about to go to the bureau’s most important workplace on Monday to current his proof.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA Integrated News
